Jochen's changes/bug fixes in version 0.5.12 (completed 20 Nov 1995):

- Added additional debugging aids with GLOBAL proc$(8) and LOCAL last$(8) 
  variables. proc$ holds the current procedure name, and last$ the last
  procedure name. 
  This is used with the error trap in the main loop to find which PROC 
  caused the error.
- Changed variable name ta% to ky% to be consistant with rest of FreeVT
- Added detection of changes in FreeVT settings. User now asked to
  save settings upon exit (if settings have changed).
- Changed dialog for handshaking to be consistant with Comms and added DCD
- Vthelp: now looks for files on M:, A: and B: before reporting file 
  not found. The freevt.rsc file can now be in \FVT\ on any drive.
- Added search procedure to look for the freelib.opo library file.
  The freelib.opo file can now be in \OPO\ on any drive.
- Corrected bug in the escape handling in vtmenu: for the serial port 
  settings dialog

Darren's changes in version 0.5.11:
- Finished adding support for line character set
- Removed duplicate sorry() procedure
- Removed extra local echo code (as result of an earlier merge)


Jochen's changes/bug fixes (Nov 8) in version 0.5.10:

1. Changed Darren's error handling in vthelp: to show standard error
   dialog.
2. Added LOCK ON/OFF to prevent a user from stopping a vt100 session
   from the system screen with delete (FreeVT could be online at the 
   time)
3. Added SETFILE and SETPATH to loadp: and savep: so that the system 
   screen name changes when the loaded file is changed
4. Changed some spaces to tab stops (smaller OPL file sizee :-) )
5. Improved some REM commenting in procedures I made

10.Changed p$ and q$ in freevt: from 2 to 255 to cure the String to Long 
   error that Alan and I experienced. This needs further looking into to 
   find the cause of the error.
9. Reduced the code required to load preference file at the start of 
   the freevt: procedure
8. Changed the APP name from freevt to FreeVT as this looks nicer
   under the icon when you have no *.fvt files
7. Added cursor option to screen menu, with settings stored bit-mapped 
   in a new global variable curs%.
   Main changes are in vtmenu: and all cursor settings are now done in 
   the new setcurs: procedure. If you need to set the cursor just call
   setcurs:
   Added the cursor setting to the savep: and loadp: procs so that the
   cursor is saved in the setup file
6. Combined delete: and backs: procedures into one (as they are so
   similar, this avoids redundancy of code) with a switch to enable 
   the delete function.
   New procedure is bsdel:(del) where del%=TRUE (-1) to delete.
   Delete works by going back one col%, printing a space, and then
   going back once col% again.
5. Changed the capture filename to fvtcap.txt, so as not to overwrite
   capture.txt (when I get this finished, that is). Still doesn't do 
   anything, but it's next on the list
4. Changed the save and load settings file name in vtmenu to CMD$(2).
   This means that the current filename will always appear in the dialog
   box when saving, or loading a file. This is much neater
3. Got the local echo working well - changes are to freevt:, to loadp: and
   savep:, and to vtmenu:.
   Two new procedures are included - these are used in loadp, savep, and
   vtmenu. They will also be used in the capture routine, when ready.
   The new procs are cvthxs:() and cvtshx:(), being convert hex to string
   and string to hex respectively. These procedures are heavily commented
   and if anyone knows a way to reduce the code please let me know.
2. Trapped the LOPEN to generate a nicer alert dialog when an error
   occurs during startup (link not plugged in, etc)
1. Fixed the bug with the databits not showing correct in the 
   serial port dialog. (when it was 7, dialog showed 8, & 6 showed 5)
